How is mDigger different from Digg.com?
mDigger lets each user choose and organize Web content that he or she wants to get on a regular basis, and makes it accessible on his or her mobile devices and computers. We are different from Digg.com, a popularity website that accepts online content submitted by users and then ranks it. With Digg.com it’s the community as a whole that determines what users see first. Any individual only has a tiny say (i.e. “one vote”) in the matter. How is mDigger different from RSS readers?
mDigger presents information in full and our mClips may contain many levels as opposed to just headlines or summaries. For example, if a periodic article has a link to a product description page, which in turn has a link to comments, then all of these pages and comments can be downloaded and displayed on a mobile device with preserved structure. mDigger supports several different types of content including regular web pages, images, podcasts as well as RSS and ATOM. Content is rich and is formatted specifically for easy viewing and usage on various mobile devices. mDigger mClips may contain targeted contextual ads, external links, “try and buy” features, the ability to submit feedback or posts to social networks and more.
How Content Providers can use mDigger
As a content provider you can make mClips sourcing from your online properties and include them in our catalog for viewing by any user from any device supported by mDigger. Once you have several mClips we can create a separate section in our catalog branded with your name and dedicated to your content, which you will fully control. You may place ads and other external links within your section of our catalog.
We provide you with a simple mDigger badge for you to place on your site informing your users that they may now access your content from their mobile devices using mDigger. This link will take them directly to the mClip that you specify or to your general section within our catalog.
